Water Services

All in-town residences are required to connect to the Ronda Water and Sewer Systems. If you would like to connect to the water system and you live outside of town limits, please call Town Hall to find out if we service your area.

If you are purchasing a house connected to our water and sewer systems, please fill out an application. Applications are available at Town Hall or download the link and bring it to Town Hall.

Sewer Services

For years, the Towns of Elkin, Jonesville, and Ronda, North Carolina discussed and evaluated the potential for consolidating wastewater facilities to ease the ever-increasing burden and rising costs of operating a sanitary sewer system. These discussions progressed until a resolution by the towns was adopted on April 19th, 2006 to establish the Yadkin Valley Sewer Authority—with a mission of providing adequate, efficient, and cost-effective sewer service to the three towns of Elkin, Jonesville, and Ronda.

Serving Elkin, Jonesville, and Ronda

The Yadkin Valley Sewer Authority is unique in that it not only joins three separate towns cooperating on a single project but also joins their three counties—Surry, Wilkes, and Yadkin. The Authority allows Elkin, Jonesville, and Ronda to consolidate their wastewater into one central treatment facility and have only one site for discharging treated water into the Yadkin River.

Garbage Collection

The Town of Ronda offers Garbage and Recycling Services to in-town residents and businesses. Containers should be placed at the street the night before the scheduled collection day by 7:00 pm and collected by 7:00 pm on the day of collection. Recycling is picked up every other week. Co-mingled recycling, or being able to throw paper, cardboard, glass, and plastic in one bin makes it easy.
